Since 2023, Colchester K9 Rescue has been dedicated to helping vulnerable dogs find safety, comfort, and a fresh start. As a foster-based, volunteer-run rescue, we believe every dog deserves a chance, regardless of their past. From emergency pound pulls and owner surrenders to dogs requiring medical treatment and rehabilitation, we are committed to giving each dog the care, compassion, and support they need before finding their forever home. None of this would be possible without our incredible foster carers, adopters, volunteers, and supporters who help us make a difference every day.

Adopting a Dog or Cat
All adoption applicants are subject to a home check to ensure our animals are matched with safe, suitable homes. Proof of identity and address will be required as part of the adoption process.
Our adoption fees help cover a portion of the veterinary care and preparation each animal receives while in our care:

Foster carers play a vital role in helping us save and support animals in need. By providing a safe, temporary home, you help prepare dogs and cats for their forever families while allowing us to rescue more animals.
We provide all veterinary care and basic essentials, so all you need to provide is a safe, loving environment and the time to help an animal on their journey.

Support Our Rescue
Colchester K9 Rescue is a volunteer-run, non-profit organisation, and every donation goes directly towards the animals in our care. Your support helps fund veterinary treatment, vaccinations, neutering, food, transport, rehabilitation, and emergency medical care for dogs who need us most.
Every pound donated helps us rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome vulnerable dogs, giving them the second chance they deserve. 🐾❤️
